Led by an international award-winning professional staff, some with decades of experience at the national television network level, the Southeastern Channel produces over 600 hours of fresh original programming each year. The channel airs over 140 hours of original programming each week, over 90 percent of its programming schedule. The Southeastern Channel produces and airs educational, community, cultural, entertainment and sports programming, including original documentaries, lectures, telecourses, newscasts, sportscasts, coaches shows, and North Shore newsmagazine, history, art, business, nature, travel, health, public affairs, campus talk, entertainment, film, music video and comedy shows, along with live community and government/political forums, music and dance concerts, operas, musicals, stage performances and sports events for its North Shore and southeast Louisiana audience. In addition to its 17 Emmys, the Southeastern Channel has been named winner of 1st Place in the nation multiple times by College Broadcasters, Inc. and has won acclaim as the "Best College Television Station in the South" multiple times by the Southeast Journalism Conference, made up of all universities from eight states in the southeast region of the U.S.
